2-Year Warranty
All IceHab systems come with a 2-year warranty, which covers manufacturing defects only.
This warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship under normal and proper use, according to the official installation and maintenance instructions provided by IceHab.
The warranty does not cover issues caused by misuse, incorrect installation, lack of maintenance, improper storage, external damage, or failure to follow the user manual. IceHab products are designed to operate safely and reliably when installed, used, and maintained correctly.
Regular maintenance, correct water flow, proper ventilation, filter replacement, and protection of the chiller from water and extreme weather conditions are essential for the safe operation of the system.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The IceHab warranty does not cover faults, damage, or malfunctions caused by misuse, incorrect installation, lack of maintenance, or failure to follow the official instructions for use, safety, operation, and maintenance.
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear from use.
Damage caused by power outages, voltage drops, power surges, or electrical instability.
Overinflation, underinflation, or incorrect air pressure.
Improper storage, incorrect transportation, or mishandling of the product.
Damage caused by direct sunlight, UV exposure, rain, humidity, or extreme weather conditions.
Punctures, cuts, tears, or damage caused by misuse, accidents, sharp objects, or incorrect placement.
Chiller issues caused by dirty, clogged, blocked, or poorly maintained filters.
Chiller issues caused by lack of air bleeding, poor water circulation, incorrect hose connection, or operation with closed valves.
Chiller, pump, or circulation system issues caused by the use of filters that have not been purchased or approved by IceHab.
Damage caused by water entering the chiller, fans, electrical components, or ventilation areas.
Use of the chiller without proper airflow or in an area with insufficient ventilation.
Damage caused by incorrect installation, unauthorized modifications, or repairs carried out by unauthorized persons.
Professional, public, or shared use if the product was purchased as a personal-use system.
Any issue caused by failure to follow IceHab’s official installation, safety, operation, and maintenance instructions.
Consumables & Wear Parts
Consumable parts such as filters, UV lamps, hoses, seals, O-rings, connectors, and other wear parts are not covered by the warranty, unless they arrive defective or damaged on delivery.
Chiller Ventilation & Operating Environment
The chiller must always operate in an area with adequate ventilation and free airflow around the unit.
It must not be placed in closed rooms, storage rooms, cabinets, small unventilated areas, or any location where hot air cannot be released properly.
Insufficient airflow can cause overheating, freezing of internal components, reduced performance, system malfunction, or serious damage to the heat exchanger.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by operating the chiller in an area with inadequate ventilation, restricted airflow, high ambient temperature, or incorrect placement.
Freezing Damage & Heat Exchanger Protection
The warranty does not cover damage caused by water freezing inside the chiller, heat exchanger, pump, hoses, or any part of the water circulation system.
Heat exchanger damage caused by freezing is considered the result of incorrect use, poor water circulation, insufficient ventilation, incorrect placement, or very low temperature settings under unsuitable conditions.
If freezing damage or heat exchanger rupture is confirmed, the issue is not covered under warranty. In this case, the cost of repair, replacement parts, shipping, or full replacement will be charged to the customer.
Minimum Airflow Requirement
For the chiller to operate correctly, there must be enough free space around the unit, and the air inlets and outlets must not be blocked.
The chiller must not be placed directly against walls, furniture, or other objects that restrict airflow. It must also not be covered with fabrics, covers, or any other objects while operating.
Operation without proper airflow can cause overheating, freezing, reduced performance, or complete chiller failure and is not covered under warranty.
Low Temperature Operation Warning
The customer is responsible for using the chiller under suitable operating conditions and avoiding settings or conditions that may cause water to freeze inside the system.
Using very low temperature settings together with poor water flow, dirty filters, insufficient air bleeding, or poor ventilation can cause the heat exchanger to freeze and lead to serious chiller damage.
This type of damage is considered the result of improper use and is not covered under warranty.
Electrical Safety & Warranty Coverage
For the warranty to remain valid, the IceHab system must only be connected to an electrical installation that includes an RCD/GFCI residual current protection device and proper grounding.
The use of an RCD/GFCI is essential for the safe operation of the system, as it helps reduce the risk of electric shock in case of current leakage.
If you are not sure whether your electrical installation has an RCD/GFCI and proper grounding, do not use the product. Contact a certified electrician before use or call us at +30 210 444 9264.
Do not touch sockets, plugs, cables, or electrical components with wet hands or when there is water near the connection point.
The chiller and all electrical components must be placed in a safe, dry, and well-ventilated area, protected from rain, water splashes, moisture, and direct contact with water.
The warranty does not cover any fault, damage, or malfunction caused by incorrect, unsuitable, or unsafe electrical installation, lack of grounding, absence of RCD/GFCI protection, contact with water, or failure to follow the electrical safety instructions.
Warranty Process & Shipping
Required Documentation
To evaluate any warranty claim, the customer must provide the necessary visual evidence, such as photos, videos, or a live video call, if requested by IceHab. IceHab reserves the right to request additional photos, videos, or information in order to confirm the nature of the fault and determine whether the issue is covered under warranty.
If a fault is approved as a warranty case, IceHab may provide the required replacement parts according to the warranty process. However, if after inspection it is confirmed that the fault was caused by the customer, misuse, incorrect installation, lack of maintenance, dirty or incorrect filters, water damage, poor airflow, unsafe electrical installation, or failure to follow the official instructions, all related shipping costs will be charged to the customer. This includes shipping costs for replacement parts, return shipping of components for inspection, and any additional transport costs related to the claim. IceHab reserves the right to evaluate each case before confirming whether the issue is covered under warranty.
Full Product Replacement
A full product replacement will only be provided when the fault cannot be repaired with replacement parts or when repair is not technically possible.
If a full replacement is approved under warranty, IceHab will cover the shipping costs for the replacement product, according to the procedure provided by the company.
Repair First Policy
IceHab will always attempt to resolve warranty issues first through troubleshooting, replacement parts, or repair. Full product replacement is provided only when repair is not possible or technically reasonable.
Warranty Cancellation
The warranty becomes void and will not apply if the fault or damage is caused by misuse, incorrect installation, lack of maintenance, or failure to follow IceHab’s official instructions.
The warranty becomes void if:
The official instructions for use, installation, or maintenance are not followed.
The device is opened, modified, or repaired by an unauthorized person.
The product is installed incorrectly or operated in an unsuitable environment.
The electrical installation does not include an RCD/GFCI residual current protection device and proper grounding.
Incorrect consumables, incompatible parts, or non-approved maintenance products are used.
The product is damaged due to misuse, dropping, impact, external damage, or accident.
Non-genuine filters are used, or filters that have not been purchased from IceHab.
The wrong type of filter is installed, allowing dirt or particles to pass through and cause damage to the pump, circulation system, or chiller.
The UV or Ozone systems are installed incorrectly, positioned incorrectly, or used improperly.
Damage occurs due to moisture, water entering the unit, unsafe electrical connection, or operation outside the required conditions.
Any fault or damage caused by failure to follow IceHab’s safety, installation, and maintenance instructions is not covered under warranty.
