Underwater Vacuum - How to install & use

1. Introduction

Our underwater vacuum is specifically designed for cleaning the bottom of your ice bath, removing small debris effortlessly. It operates without the need for electricity. With its innovative design, it ensures your ice bath stays clean and hygienic, providing a seamless experience every time.

This is the final setup for how the vacuum connects to the airtub. Essentially, you just connect the vacuum to the hole that is already suctioning water, and by holding the pole with your hands, you clean the entire bottom.
Let's see how to connect it.

2. Setup & Installation

The vacuum comes 100% ready to use. To connect it to your AirTub, follow these simple steps.

STEP 1:
Place the vacuum inside the AirTub, starting by submerging the bottom end so that the air inside the hose is automatically removed.

Next, submerge the rest of the vacuum as well.

STEP 2:
Next, connect the end of the vacuum hose into the lower hole of the AirTub (underwater). It’s very simple—just push it in until it fits snugly. It’s designed to fit perfectly.

ATTENTION: The most important thing for the vacuum to work properly is to ensure that it never comes out of the water while connected to the AirTub.

If it comes out of the water and sucks in air, it will stop vacuuming water and will fill the filter and pump with air. This can easily be resolved by releasing the air.

If you accidentally remove the vacuum from the water and the system takes in air
If air enters the system and the pump stops sucking water, you need to bleed the air by following these steps.

  • Turn off the chiller (at the back of the chiller).

  • Disconnect the vacuum from the hole of the AirTub.

  • Open the small valve on the filter. Initially, air will come out (from the small valve), and after 2-3-4 seconds, water will start to come out. Once water starts flowing, it means the filter has been cleared of air, so close the filter valve immediately.

  • Turn the chiller back on (at the back of the chiller), waiting for water to start flowing from the top hole of the AirTub, just like before.

  • Reconnect the vacuum to the bottom hole of the AirTub and continue vacuuming, making sure not to take the vacuum out of the water again.
If it happens again, repeat this step from the beginning.

3. Important Information

Do not attempt to vacuum large objects with the vacuum. Anything that can be picked up by hand should be removed manually.

For example, if a tree leaf falls into the AirTub, do not try to vacuum it. This device is designed to suck up small debris, such as nail-sized particles and hair. Trying to vacuum larger items could clog or damage the AirTub circulation system.

In this video, you can see how the vacuum works and the size of debris it can effectively vacuum.
