Hello, this is George and Theodore. We are the founders of IceHab. Together, we started this journey driven by our passion for recovery, performance and cold exposure.
IceHab was founded in 2021, and our team consists of people with strong knowledge in mechanical engineering, marketing and modern software technology.
How It Started
The idea behind IceHab started in 2021 from our own need for faster recovery after intense daily athletic activity. At the time, we were searching for a practical way to improve muscle recovery and physical performance through cold exposure.
For our first experiments, we used a chest freezer filled with water and began doing ice baths inside it. It was a funny experience at first, but at the same time we quickly realized how unsafe and impractical these improvised solutions could be, since such systems were never designed for human cold immersion.
That experience became the starting point of a much bigger journey. We began researching, testing and developing complete cold therapy systems designed specifically for safe, reliable and long-term ice bathing use.
What started as a personal recovery experiment eventually evolved into IceHab.
What followed was a long period of research, engineering development and nonstop testing. We spent years experimenting with cooling systems, insulation materials, filtration methods, structural durability and real-world performance under demanding conditions.
From mechanical prototypes and electrical testing to complete redesigns and endless trial-and-error, the journey behind IceHab was built step by step through real experience, passion and continuous improvement.
That process is what eventually led us to the systems we build today.
