Frequently asked questions
Both the AirTub and Nihilistas are designed for easy assembly, requiring minimal tools and setup time. Instructions are provided for users to quickly get the systems running.
UV disinfection technology is a standard feature on the Nihilistas and an additional option for the AirTub. It works by killing bacteria and other harmful microorganisms, keeping the water clean and safe for extended periods. This feature ensures long-lasting usability by maintaining water quality, allowing for a more hygienic and enjoyable experience.
The Sediment Filter, removes particles and debris from the water, ensuring clean and clear water for every use. This not only enhances the bathing experience but also extends the life of the cooling unit.
Both AirTub and Nihilistas feature built-in temperature controls either physically through buttons or through the Smart App (optional) that allow for precise adjustment, ensuring the desired cold levels are maintained throughout use.
No, all of our products have a cooling unit, we don’t want you to carry ice cubes! You just set your target temperature. However if you want to see ice forming, the Nihilistas Zero is your go, our ice bath which creates its own ice!
Both the AirTub and Nihilistas are designed to reach low temperatures, typically down to 3°C, making them highly effective for cold therapy. Nihilistas Zero can also reach into freezing waters as low as 0°C. They can maintain these temperatures for extended periods due to advanced insulation.
With their advanced insulation systems, both the AirTub and Nihilistas can retain cold, as long as they remain plugged in power. This allows you to maintain your desired temperature indefinitely, ensuring the water stays consistently cold for as long as you need.
Yes, both the AirTub and Nihilistas are designed with durable, puncture-resistant materials to prevent leaks and ensure longevity.
Yes, both models are equipped with drainage systems for easy water removal and cleaning.
When first connected, the ice bath needs to cool the water from room temperature to the desired target set by the user. This process can take several hours, depending on environmental factors such as room temperature, whether it’s placed outdoors in the sun, etc. Once the desired temperature is reached, the ice bath will easily maintain that temperature as long as it remains powered on.
Yes, you can definitely reuse the water in your ice bath! If you're using just a sediment filter, the water may need to be changed after a few weeks, depending on usage, as algae could start to form. If your ice bath has either UV or Ozone disinfection, you can maintain crystal-clear water for several months, making the experience more convenient and enjoyable.
No, the AirTub and Nihilistas are specifically designed for cold therapy only and are not suitable for hot therapy. They are optimized to reach and maintain low temperatures for effective cold therapy sessions.
Yes, we recommend keeping your IceHab connected to power continuously to maintain the desired temperature with minimal effort from the cooling system. This approach is much more time and energy efficient than turning it on only when you need it, as it would take several hours to reach the target temperature each time. If you have a weekly ice bath routine, it's best to leave it powered on. However, if for example you use it only once a month, you could power it off between sessions and turn it back on when needed, with the understanding that it will take some time to cool the water again.
