FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Use

How do I control it, and should it stay on?

Control the temperature through the chiller display or the WiFi App. Cooling stops when the selected temperature is reached, while water circulation and filtration continue. Keep the system plugged in and switched on to maintain clean water.

Should the system stay on all the time?

Yes. Keep it plugged in and switched on. Cooling pauses at your target temperature, but circulation and filtration continue 24/7, which is what keeps the water clean.

What should I do when I am away for days?

Enter the dates you will be away in the App. Cooling stays off during this period, while circulation and filtration continue to keep the water clean.

Water & filters

How often should I change the water?

With the included filtration, on average every 40–50 days. With UV XL or Ozone every 2–3 months, and with both together every 3–4 months. These are averages: heavier use shortens them, lighter use extends them.

Do I need chlorine or chemicals?

No. AirTub is designed to run with filtration, and optionally UV XL and Ozone, which sanitise the water without adding chemicals.

Why is the filter placed before the chiller?

So that hair and debris are caught before they reach the pump and heat exchanger. This protects the chiller and keeps the flow steady.

How often do I replace the filter?

On average every 3–4 months on AirTub Home and Lite, and every 2–3 months on AirTub Pro, or sooner if it looks clearly darker or holds visible debris. These are averages that depend on use. Use IceHab filters only: they fit exactly, and other filters can reduce flow and void the warranty.

Which filters fit my AirTub?

AirTub Home uses 10-inch 20 micron filters. AirTub Pro uses two stages, 10-inch 20 micron and 10-inch 100 micron. AirTub Lite uses 5-inch 20 micron filters. Not sure? Send us a photo of your system on WhatsApp.

Why only original IceHab filters?

They fit your filter housing exactly and keep the flow steady through the chiller. Other filters can reduce the flow, strain the chiller and void the warranty.

How many filters come with the AirTub?

AirTub Home and Lite come with 2 filters, AirTub Pro with 2 + 2. A spare pack keeps your next changes ready.

UV XL & Ozone

Do the extras fit my AirTub?

Yes. UV XL, Ozone and the Floor Mat fit every AirTub: Home, Pro and Lite. Filters are model-specific: choose the set for your model in Water filters.

Can I add UV XL or Ozone later?

Yes. Both are Plug & Play add-ons: they connect to your AirTub and a standard power outlet, whenever you decide.

What maintenance does UV XL need?

Very little. The UV lamp lasts about 8,000 hours and replacement lamps are available from us. Keep changing the filter as usual: on average every 3–4 months on AirTub Home and Lite, every 2–3 months on AirTub Pro.

Does Ozone need maintenance?

No. Ozone has no maintenance cost. Keep changing the filter as usual: on average every 3–4 months on AirTub Home and Lite, every 2–3 months on AirTub Pro.

UV XL or Ozone?

UV XL neutralises bacteria, viruses and microorganisms but does not remove sweat and oils. Ozone also oxidises sweat, oils and odours. For the cleanest water combine both and save 20%.

Is ozone safe?

Yes. Ozone breaks down naturally into oxygen and leaves no chemical residues in the water. Indoors, use it in a ventilated room with a window.

Can I use UV XL in a gym or spa?

Yes. For gyms, spas and hotels, where many people share the same water, we recommend UV XL and Ozone together.

Installation

Do I need ice?

No. The included smart chiller cools the water down to 3°C.

Is setup easy? Do I need plumbing?

No fixed plumbing is required. You only need a tap and hose to fill the tub. To drain it, connect the same hose to the lower of its two valves and direct the water wherever needed, even to a distant drainage point.

Where can it be installed?

Indoors, outdoors or on a balcony, with adequate ventilation and no direct sunlight on the tub or chiller. When filled, it weighs approximately 220 kg, has a diameter of 90 cm and occupies approximately 0.7 m².

What power connection is required?

Only a standard power outlet. Your electrical panel must have an installed residual-current device (RCD), as required by European electrical safety regulations.

How is it delivered and assembled?

Delivered via UPS within 4–6 business days, with free shipping on every AirTub. Assembly takes around 20 minutes, excluding filling time, and requires no tools, plumber or technician.

How long does delivery take?

4–6 business days with UPS after your order is processed. It may vary slightly with location, local holidays or carrier circumstances.
